The NRA's Eddie Eagle GunSafe program is without a doubt the leader in teaching gun safety to kids.  Eddie Eagle's mantra of "STOP!  Don't Touch.  Leave the Area.  Tell an Adult." has been taught to over 21 millions kids.

Revolutionary War Veterans Association - The Appleseed Project

After you have learned the basics of gun safety, Appleseed shoots are a great way to reinforce what you have learned. The Appleseed Project strictly adheres to gun safety rules while teaching basic marksmanship principles. These events are great for childs as the atmosphere is family friendly and very low pressure.
